This policy explains how PetSkinCares ("PetSkinCares", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use petskincares.com. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and related rules.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Order data: delivery address, pincode, items bought, GST details if you provide them, payment status. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner (for example Razorpay) and are not stored by us.
- Pet data: breed, age and skin concerns you share so we can recommend products.
- Usage data: device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, login and logout times, and cookie data (see our Cookie Policy).
- Communication data: messages you send us by email, form or WhatsApp, and records of emails we send you.
2. Why we use your data

3. Emails we send you
Account and service emails. If you have an account we send emails about your account and orders: sign-up confirmation, login and logout alerts, new-device or password-change alerts, order and delivery updates, and subscription and billing details such as renewals, invoices and payment reminders. These are part of the service, and you cannot opt out of the security ones while your account is active.
Offers and marketing emails. We send these only if you tick the consent box when you sign up or subscribe. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop within a reasonable time after you use it. You can also write to privacy@petskincares.com.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who work for us: payment gateways, courier and logistics partners, email delivery and SMS providers, web hosting, and analytics providers (only if you allow analytics cookies). They may use your data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data when required by law or a court or government authority.
5. Where data is stored and how long we keep it
Data is stored on secure servers in India or with providers who protect it to similar standards. We keep account and order data while your account is active and for the period needed for tax, accounting and legal requirements (generally up to 8 years for invoices). Marketing data is deleted or suppressed when you withdraw consent or ask us to erase it, except records we must keep by law.
6. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us at once if you suspect misuse. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may: get a summary of your data and how it is used; ask us to correct or complete it; ask us to erase it; withdraw consent at any time; nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to; and make a complaint. To use any right, email privacy@petskincares.com from your registered email address. We aim to reply within 30 days.
8. Children
Our site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
